Tupac Shakur: June 16th, 1971-Sept. 13th, 1996
10 years gone, and the world is worse for it.

September 13th, 1996 -- the day Tupac Shakur shed his mortal coil. To quote Wikipedia:
Tupac is known for the political, economic, and racial equality messages in a lot of his work. He has been ranked by many fans, critics, and industry insiders as the greatest rapper ever.
[emphasis added]
He was more than a rapper, he was a poet. Someone you could admire even if you weren't a fan of Rap music or the Thug Life. Tupac released 5 albums before his death 10 years ago and had barely finished recording his album 'The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory' before the Sept. 7th shooting that would lead to his passing a week later.

Since then many more albums have followed from unreleased works recorded in many of Tupacs sessions. These albums along with lyrics found on
'The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory' have sparked theories among fans that Tupac actually faked his own death.

Sadly, Tupac was cut down in what couldn't even be considered his 'prime'. While he was already a huge success in the music industry, Tupac was looking to branch out and had already added several new businesses to his portfolio. It was even said that Tupac had plans to enter politics as his next big step in trying to help improve the lives of Americans, especially those from the ghettos and tough streets Tupac knew all too well. There's little doubt that had Tupac not been taken so soon, he would have made an even larger impact on the world around him, and perhaps around us all.

While Tupac may be gone physically, his spirit and message live on. It's in these that one finds hope & inspiration along with strength & wisdom far beyond his years. In the end it's these which serve as Tupac Shakur's greatest gift and ultimate legacy.

God Bless The Dead - RIP Tupac Shakur
